Ben Luk
Ben started playing
the piano at the age of 5. He received the Associate Performer's
Diploma from the Trinity College of Music under the guidance of Ms.
Brenda Poon in the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts. He holds
a Master degree in Computer Science from Stanford University and
is currently working as a Software Engineer at Google. Besides playing
the piano, Ben enjoys traveling and playing basketball.

Winnie Low
Winnie decided to join the Voices of the Valley as a pianist after
enjoying their February 2002 concert. Winnie holds a Master of Music
in Church Music from the Golden Gate Theological Seminary where she
studied piano with Dr Max Lyall. She is currently working at a San
Francisco law firm. She also teaches piano part time. Besides music,
she enjoys outdoor sports, traveling and cooking.

Angela Lai
Ever since a teenager, Angela has been performing and accompanying
soloists, choirs and orchestras in family, school and college concert
events. Under the tutelage of Ms Yu Jia-Ying in Hong Kong, Angela was
awarded the Associate Performer's Diploma by the Trinity College of
Music in London. Previously, she was a Principal Engineer at Silicon
Graphics where she worked on digital media systems and software design.
Lately, she has joined the Silicon Valley gold rush and to work at
a yet unnamed startup.

Connie Cheung
Connie started playing the piano at the age of 4. Under
the instruction of Ms. Claura Ngan, she was awarded the Advanced Certificate
by ABRSM in 1995 and was invited to perform in its bay area honors
recital in the same year. Connie received her B.S. and M.S. in
Electrical Engineering from Stanford University, and is currently working
at Sun Microsystems as a hardware engineer.

Carole Richter
Carole started playing the piano at the age of 8, and competed at
the Concours Claude Kahn in Paris. Carole took a break from the piano
when she was in the university, where she received her Masters Degree
in mathematics. She now has more time than ever to practice the piano
while her two little angels, Claire, 3 and Leo 1 are taking afternoon
naps

Benjamin Chui
Ben Chui started playing the piano at age 9. He holds a Grade 8 diploma
in piano from the Royal School of Music, as well as a Grade 8 diploma
in Theory of Music. He graduated with a Ph.D. in electrical engineering
from Stanford University in 1998, and currently works as a silicon
micromachining specialist in a Mountain View startup company. In his
spare time, Ben likes to improvise on the piano (pop and classical)
and is interested in singing as well as occasional score-writing.

Mona
Li
Mona started playing the piano at age 5. She furthers her piano techniques
with Ms. Amelia Chan Lei-Wah in Hong Kong after she was awarded the
Grade 8 Diploma by the Royal School of Music of England. She has been
a piano teacher since the age of 15. Mona has enjoyed both of her stage
and teaching experience. Mona graduated with a double-major in Computer
Science and Applied Mathematics and a minor in Economics from University
of California, Los Angeles in June 1998. Since then, she has been a
consultant at Deloitte &
Touche Consulting.

Alice Ko
Alice started playing the piano at the age of 5. She studied under
Ms. Louise Savage of Sacramento, California from 1983 to 1991. Alice
had her solo debut in 1987 at the Sherman Clay Recital Hall in Sacramento.
As an active performer and competitor, Alice performed in many California
Music Teachers Association (CMTA) annual state conventions. In 1990,
Alice received Teachers (CAPMT) Bartok Piano Competition in the Difficult
Category. Alice received her degree in Chemical Engineering from the
University of California at Berkeley.

Connie Chiu
Connie started playing the piano a age 9, and she now generously shares
her musical talent by volunteering as a church pianist at Lord's Grace
Christian Church at Palo Alto. Connie is a licensed Civil Engineer
at Hohbach-Lewin, Inc. She is working on structural design and seismic
retrofits for both commercial and residential buildings.
