2008 10th Anniversary Concert
On June 7th, 2008, Voices of the Valley will present an attractive feast of musical enjoyment for the 10th anniversary concert.
A rich program with selections from Gilbert & Sullivan's Gondoliers will
surely delight, entertain, and stimulate your musical senses.
This semi-staged operetta will bring you to the shores of Venice, the "City
of Water", where the story of two gallant and peerless gondoliers and their
true love slowly unfolds...
Then West will meet East with Traditional Chinese Folk Songs. From the
Italian gondoliers, the audience will be transported to the villages of
China, with villagers singing and communicating with each other in music and
song... In the old days, a good singer of Chinese folk songs would have a
better chance of winning over their bride of choice...
The concert will also feature other exiting choral works: Echo Song (sung
in a cappella), For the Beauty of the Earth, Bridge over Trouble Water, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, etc...
